Bozeman Low Vision Center:
The Bozeman Chapter, Low Vision Center located at the basement of the Martel Building. We are ready to serve. Come visit us on Thursdays between 10:00am until 3:00pm.
What will you find when you walk into the Low Vision Center:
* Friendly, understanding staff that will walk alongside you to assist you through the process.
* Resources of abundance to find options for independence.
* Magnifiers of all sizes, shapes, and abilities.
* Lighting options for many situations.
* Examples of Kitchen solutions to low vision/blindness.
* Ideas for leisure activities like games, exercise, and sports.
* Options for labeling and keeping track of things with braille, bump dots, puffy paint, and labelers.
* Options for scanning documents, keeping track of dates & time, and recording information.
* Mobility options to get around your community safely (safety vests, mobility canes, vibrating object detectors, reflective tape) to name a few).
* Computer options like accessible keyboards, software, and techniques to use devices with confidence.
At the Low Vision Center, there really is such a wide variety of options and we realize we want to find the solution that works for you today to allow you to be more independent.
Come by and stop in for a visit. We have the latest adaptive technology, hand-held, and software devices and technology to assist the blind/low vision community. This is a place to see, feel, try any adaptive device; along with instrutions on how to use these devices. We offer ways to buy technology, and also train how to use certain equipment and soft ware. Come in and check it out for yourself!
